hello.

I've just installed the Lunatics Unified Installer for Windows v0.2, and my app_info.xml file was replaced with a empty file...

I tried to install again and the backup copy was deleted..

Can any one help me create an app_info.xml file?

These are the files that the installer created:

AK_v8b_win_SSE3_AMD.exe
ap_5.05r168_SSE3.exe
MB_6.08_CUDA_V12_VLARKill_FPLim2048.exe

I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ with SSE3 capabilities and a Nvidia 8600GTS 256MB RAM.

Hi there,
Could you give more details on your OS, and guess what might be blocking that app_info creation script?  you're now the 3rd person to report it out of about 4000 (or so) downloads (between v0.1 & v0.2), and it would be kindof nice to know what might be causing it.

attached is the zipped app_info file to your specifications : I also manually removed the entry for the old AP 5.03r112, since you didn't list it, I assume you didn't want/need it.

Please ensure you also  have the other support files for the Cuda build in place:  cudart.dll, cufft.dll & the lib fftw dll

Sorry my OS is Windows XP SP3 (portuguese version).

I have in the AP 5.03r112.exe file in the directory, but I assumed it was a remant of an old instalation.

I will test this app_info.xml and let you know.

Thank you.

Just used the installer (Win 7 64bit).

CPU: E8400
Cuda NV 275gtx Drvr 191.07
BOINC Client 6.10.17
Opt: SSE4.1 + Cuda

On restart, all work was deleted with an error in the message claiming no Cuda work available - I had plenty. I must admit I didin't notice any no cuda messages but then I didn't look too hard after the shock.

Regretfully, I placed faith in the process and elected not to backup the BOINC folders... Frustrating as there is no Seti work atm, but my error.

I attempted the install on a 2nd unit which has no Cuda:

CPU T7100
BOINC Client 6.6.38
Opt: SSSE3x

At launch, the app appeared to hang although it was quite busy. All work was cancelled with a computaton error, which I'm assuming was the case on the above PC.

Can someone shed any light on my problems? Thanks.

Richard

If the answers lie there, I couldn't find them directly. However, this solved the problem:
