There is ongoing work on optimized Astropulse builds in the background. The SETI@home/Astropulse Beta project is primarily to get testing done on the stock builds, of course, so we try to delay and minimize testing of optimized builds there. With Astropulse long crunch time, it is hard to judge when they have an adequate amount of stock testing done, too.
