Strange error at validation
« on: 31 Aug 2008, 07:55:53 am »
How validator knows that my result invalid in this case? (third result in progress in time of posting)

SETI main thread: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=49100

Later: Well, it seems now I understand why it happened, but how to avoid this situation in the future?
Pretty annoying validator bug IMHO. It could make some retry to find result file in such situation...

So you understand that a validate error is a server side problem right?

Yes, but wonder if one can make something on client side to prevent validator from losing whole result or just should keep fingers crossed and pray perpetually? ;)

Well, that time BOINC ran unattended...
No manual "update" button was pressed at least...
Are any settings exists (in BOINC 5.10.45) to force big delay between uploading and reporting?
