The right app
« on: 04 May 2008, 08:04:02 am »
Hello,

I have:

AuthenticAMD
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-57 [x86 Family 15 Model 104 Stepping 2]
MMX (+), 3DNow!(+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, X84-64

with:

Microsoft Windows Vista
Home Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.00.6001.00)

I am currently running the APP:

KWSN_2.4V_SSE2_MB
incorporating
Version: Windows SSE2 32-bit based on S@H V5.15  'Noo? No - Ni!'
Revision: R-2.4V|xB|FFT:IPP_SSE2|Ben-Joe

I am not seeing any significant improvements with this APP so I am wondering if tehre is a better APP.

Will Alex Kan's V.8 new apps work on my computer. They seem to incorporate SSE3 but will any of these APP run on AMD 64 chips?

Thanks,

Nevica

Hi there,

I suggest:
32 bit Windows port of Alex Kan's version 8 Science app - AMD/Intel SSE3 version, from the downloads  and sing out if you have any installation questions. While I don't have one of those CPUs, I have seen many people test this on their Athlon 64 X2 that have SSE3, successfully and get quite a bit of improvement over stock and 2.4V. [ooh look, someone's rated the download 10/10 too, that's nice ;D]
