The optimized apps, notably those created by Crunch3r, Simon/KWSN and Alex Kan for Windows, Linux and MacOS/i386.

Seti currently only uses Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT).  Didn't see that in the list.

Perhaps they improved speed for it on 64 bit O/S.

Perhaps they improved speed for it on 64 bit O/S.

I bet the FFT routines got a face lift for Dual Core 2 and Quad Core 2s.
