ScreenSaver or Show Graphics
« on: 17 Feb 2010, 08:19:53 am »
Hi, I have been using Optimized apps for most of my time with BOINC SETI. I remember when I first used optimized, there was a Graphic version available. I think when we switched to Multi Beam, we had to upgrade to a new app version, and it was only available as a no graphic version.

I know that using the graphics reduces speed a little, but I used to like to watch them occasionally, maybe a few minutes a day.

Is there any prospect of a graphic capable optimized app for Windows or any other OS?

Keith.

the whole point of the opt apps is to improve performance, and with the graphic code inside the app its performance is reduced a bit, so no there wont be any opt apps with gfx

Look at your statistics if you want to look at graphs :)

like http://boincstats.com/ or one of the various BOINC stats collection sites
