Forcing dual GPU's to run at full speed (GTX 260)
« on: 01 Jan 2010, 12:53:54 pm »
Okay guys I've got a good question for you. How do I force both GPU's to run at full 3D speed? I've already used Rivatuner and what I thought would enable both GPU's to run at full speed only gets one to run at that speed. I have my GPU's setup for SLI in the NVIDIA control panel.

SLI should be disabled for CUDA AFAIK

Supposedly starting from 2.3 (or was it 2.2?), cuda is capable of using two GPUs separately even when they are linked with SLI.

As for Jason's question, http://lunatics.kwsn.net/12-gpu-crunching/gtx-295-downclocking.0.html could be a start.

So far I changed the setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel and restarted the computer. So far it seems to work.

My GTX280s always downclock if I leave them in SLI...Starts off okay for a few WUs and then I can't get the clocks back without a reboot...
