optimized app with Vista

Please forgive a total newb for asking basic questions.

Running BOINC Manager 6.2.19 on Vista.  CPUZ tells me I have SSE3, even though messages in BOINC Manager say SSE2.  Downloaded SSE3 for 64 bits app, installed as directed, but get these messages when restarting BOINC:

It appears standard SETI is still runnning.  How can I get the optimized app to work?

It seems you CPU should have not only SSE3 but SSSE3 as well.
Try to download that packege from download section and carefully read installation instruction..
And BTW, make sure that your app_info.xml lists 603 in supported apps. Change 528 to 603 if not.

Or you could wait a few hours, then the whole process becomes easier when new packages are put in the downloads section with pre-complete app_infos...and composite Multibeam & Astropulse packages too!  8)

Raistmer - thanks very much, that seems to have done it.

Jason - wait a couple of hours??  While the aliens are out there trying to reach us?!?!?!

But seriously, I was going to ask about Astropluse next.  I'll be back in a few hours.

I had fun working on the composite packages, only took about 30 minutes or so to do them.

Me again.   Am I correct in assuming that the combined packages are not for 64 bit machines?  Is there an Astropulse package for 64 bit machines?

Combined packages are ONLY for 32-bit machines.
You can DL the individual 64-bit SSSE3x multibeam ap for your machine & also the SSE3 AP ap. and edit your own app_info.xml using an included one in a combo package as a "template".

For a T5750, fiirst DL the 32bit combo package for SSSE3x (you only need the app_info.xml fille). Open the app_info.xml file w/ notepad &  edit ONLY the seti at home ap name info to "AK_v8_win_x64_SSSE3x.exe" (no quotes).  There are 3 places to do this.
BE CAREFUL that it is EXACT and there are NO extra spaces etc.  Save the edited file.

Open the x64 seti ap file & the AP file you downloaded individually.  TRASH the app_info.files that came w/ them.
Combine all the executable files into 1 folder & insert the app_info.xml YOU edited.

Place in your Boinc Seti projects folder as normal.

Congratulations...you did made your own combo package.  ;D

Sorry, I'm a slow learner.  I'm still not clear on which AP package to download.  I already have the 64 bit multi-beam installed and running.

Here is the correct AP files along with the correct app_info.xml file for you to use
