optimized app problems

According to Berkeley they are back to normal operations.  Does anyone know why the optimized app still doesn't download?  And if it's something on the Berkeley side that Berkeley is not planning on fixing, will a new app be released to work with the new config at Berkeley?  It's very tedious to go through the "workaround" on a daily basis with 20 or more machines.

Thanks

Hi areese,

the workaround hasn't been necessary for about a week now - the trouble since then has been different.

In any case, I recommend stopping BOINC, installing the app_info.xml, starting it up again and letting it do its thing; right now, everything works (I verified it on one of my machines, all have the app_info.xml active again). To speed things up, you can choose "retry communications" from the extras menu.

HTH,
Simon.
