Hi all,

do you plan to compile applications for OpenBSD? ;)

Thank you.

zvonas, I don't know if/when we'll do any OpenBSD releases.

See 9.4 in http://www.openbsd.org/faq/faq9.html . You might be able to run our existing linux apps in your system.

There are also stock, unoptimized, apps for many OSes in http://www.dotsch.de/boinc/SETI@home%20applications.html

Hi,

thanks for answer.
I use these:
http://www.dotsch.de/boinc/SETI@home%20applications.html

But they are TOOOOOO SLOOOOWWW. That was the reason why I am asking for OpenBSD port...

Thank you very much.

Have you tried to run the linux ones in your machine? The openbsd link I've posted above talks about running linux binaries in openbsd. Is it feasible?

This would interest especially me, because i have to decide, if an extra build for BSD is necessary or if these can live with the i686 gnu-linux versions ?

Not seti specific, I'm talking about other generic linux apps, to check if your system is setup correctly to run linux apps.

Nope. Other apps were working. I have reinstalled system to FreeBSD 7.2 x86_64 and running 2.4_FreeBSD_SSE3.tar.tar but this 32 bit app gets error as well:

The message log enables us to find the actual errors:

Installing libSSL did not help. Do you plan releasing FreeBSD 64bit application?
LIB32 did not help either.

Nope. I have contacted dotsch.de about it already. I am giving up installing seti on 64bit freebsd 7.2. No working seti client for this OS exists on the net:-(
