This is just an observation and I can not back it up with anything solid at the moment, but after upgrading to 310.70 my 660TI seems to be crunching WU's by 2 minutes faster on average.  Yet my 570 in the same rig appears to be unchanged - is anybody else seeing this with Keplers or is it just a fluke

There are many other file versions - for 32-bit OSs, for Windows XP, for notebook GPUs - make sure you get the right one.

I've already purchase a replacement PC for my daughter and wish to work with it with BOINC, now the fact:

supposed that with new drivers I had to switch off the Crossfire feature.

how the system would recognise in which card work for different projects?? e.g. SETI, Collatz, Distrigen there would be no problem as both are capable to compute but Milkyway would be only in HD7770 as being double precision.

From APP SDK 2.8 release notes:

Driver support for 7xx generation GPUs is EOL. AMD drivers no longer support 7xx generation
GPUs; this includes support for ATI Radeon™ HD and ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4000 series
devices, ATI FirePro™ V8750, V8700, V7750, V5700, V2750, ATI Mobility FirePro™ M7740,
and AMD FireStream™ 9270, 9250.

Also:

It is necessary to install Catalyst 12.10 graphics drivers prior to installation of SDK 2.8. Vital
components of AMD's OpenCL solution are now contained within the drivers.

This means no APP SDK 2.8 based SETI apps for now.
