I hope that would be better installer than 12.6 because I've installed 12.4 in 3 of my computers and installed the version 12.6 and always got 12.4 installed ????????

I've un-installed 12.4 reboot and set-up as new installation 12.6 and "About" software version ale-hoop 12.4 installed is this a witches game ??  :'(  :'(

now installed in two APUs AMD E-350 new version 12.8 and correctly displayed in CC version number 12.8

soob  :'( in my AMD HD4770 only available new 12.6 Legacy but at least updated to this version instead my previous message that with 12.6 only could get 12.4, I guess I'd start thinking in upgrade that computer and about it I'm thinking in new APUs AMD FirePro A300 Series with double precision GPU too and four cores.

in Spanish but could see them: http://www.xataka.com/componentes-de-pc/amd-tambien-profesionaliza-sus-apu

Cat 12.8 is for HD5 and above only.

Latest driver for HD 4 cards is 12.6.

Do the video game increases in performance they claim for this new driver also relate to increased CUDA performance, or are the two not necessarily related?

We have seen some performance increase with the newer CUDA versions, but it can be a crap shoot.

This was run with the 304.xx drivers

I just replaced cuda 3.2 with cuda 4.1 dll's in x41g (in app_info.xml). Not sure this is the right way, but it seems working ok for now...

If this is not a right way, then I probably need a new build...

Check using Process Explorer exactly which DLLs are being used, and where they are being loaded from. You may be surprised - I certainly was, the first time I loaded a CUDA application which could not possibly have worked (as yours can't) - but found that it did.

According to Process Explorer, it seems to be using cuda from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\nvcuda.dll, which is Cuda 5.0.1 from 305.68 drivers.

The ones which matter are CUDART and CUFFT.

Nowadays, these DLLs are 'strictly versioned': Dependency Walker will confirm that x41g depends on

CUDART32_32_16.DLL
CUFFT32_32_16.DLL

It is difficult (but possible) to use alternative versions, because of cross-dependencies, but I suspect x41g will have found what it needs and will still be using it, in spite of your changes to app_info.
