You have got to wonder why this was not picked up at Beta stage !!!

More news from Einstein:

Quote from: Oliver Bock
Update: this bug is considered as release critical (show-stopper) for the next NVIDIA driver release that's due in 2-4 weeks. Thus a fix will be available by that time.

Because they could not initially replicate the problem.

That's good news; there are several, game-/application-related issues why I would like to install these newer drivers, but the CUDA bug prevented me from doing that.

We'll see what happens with the next release...

Regards, Patrick.

Capeverde -  is it HD7xxx GPU ?

Good to see OpenCL 1.2 available. It definitely has some opportunities for better app performance with proper optimization done.

I use a pair of HD7750 in my Sandy Bridge host since late February and was sitting without a working driver before 12.4 preview was reaching public mid of march.  :D
This Linux version "switched the lights back on" on my host.
But it has certain defects, for example i can't run more than one MBv6/v7 task per gpu at the same time with this driver and BOINC 6.10.58. Have not investigated further, so far.  :-\

Quadro driver 296.35 doesn't suffer from CUDA sleep bug.

I've used a modded inf file to use for my gtx 5xx

This one works too:

Does the CUDA sleep bug exist for this driver release?
I don't know, there's no mention of it in the Release Notes as being fixed, or being an outstanding Bug,

It'll be a few hours before my i7-2600K gets to a point where i can install 301.24, I'll let this thread know then, unless someone else gets it installed before hand,

I've got the new drivers installed, but as I don't use DVI connections I've never been able to replicate this

Yes, the Cuda sleep Bug does still exist with 301.24, But i'm not experiencing it all the time now, I've been having great trouble getting it to fail during benches, so it might have been fixed,
I'm now going to run live Cuda Wu's overnight with 301.24.

And... What is the verdict? Is the CUDA bug fixed, or still there?

I'm very tempted to install it, but since I use DVI, and blank my screen, I will probably very susceptible to the bug occurring (and ruining Seti work at the same time).

Regards, Patrick.
