Is there any improvement for ATI with new 12??

I can't download for the moment I'm away home with roaming mobile tariffs and is too expensive to check it.

I'll try in next April with my shore leaves.

Primegrid just posted a message to either downgrade from 295.xx or not install it at all.

GPUgrid also did a notice to everyone about 295.x so just stay away from it. Hopefully Nvidia will push a fixed one out for the GTX600's launch some time this month.

I had a PM off someone at Nvidia on friday morning who was trying to reproduce the issue, he had attached to GPUGRID but hadn't managed to reproduce it,
i suggested he try different projects with shorter workunits (Seti & PrimeGrid) and i gave him the steps i used with the MBBench program to reproduce the issue,

Good news on this one: http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/forum_thread.php?id=9307&nowrap=true#116272

Jacob Klein also had a PM from Nvidia, and managed to show him how to reproduce it at Einstein. So Nvidia are equipped to work on it now.

Couldn't get that one to work with a HD7750, but 12.3 preview works ok. (look for it at guru3d)

I also had to rollback to 290.53 drivers... 295.73 caused to many problems with SETI application. :(

Hopefully, Nvidia will fix this soon...

NVidia 296.10 WHQL drivers are out.

There are a number of fixes like "[GeForce 500 series][Mirrorʹs Edge]:”Driver not responding” error occurs when playing the game with SLI enabled.", but nothing specific to our 'crashes when DVI monitor is put to sleep'. It would be good if somebody who experienced that could test, but proceed at caution.

BTW, is the monitor sleep problem particularly prevalent on GeForce 500 series?

Edit: WARNING - a test report indicates that the monitor sleep bug is still present. Don't upgrade unless you know you're immune, or prepared to take precautions as before.

Just looked an Einstein user who is complaining about being throttled. It seems he is running 296.10 and all his cuda tasks have failed, so they haven't fixed it.

I've had email confirmation this morning that NVidia have acknowledged the re-reported bug in 296.10 and are working on it.

More news from Einstein:

Quote from: Oliver Bock
Update: this bug is considered as release critical (show-stopper) for the next NVIDIA driver release that's due in 2-4 weeks. Thus a fix will be available by that time.
