At least this one is an official preview this time.

Just started updating to 11.9, so no previews for me for testing, please.  ;)

Posted link to 11.10 preview is broken. Someone has new one or binary itself? I want to try it...

EDIT: ok, found it already: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst1110Previewdriver.aspx

Not sure if this is the right topic to ask this, so my apologies if this was misplaced:

I installed the NVidia 285.38 drivers last night (these were the recommended drivers for Rage), and today, around 13:30, my computer encountered a STOP 0x0000003B error.

The system ran fine without any such problems when I was still using the latest WHQL drivers (280.26). Have other people here encountered similar errors with the latest BETA drivers?

Currently rebooted, going to keep a close eye on this the coming few days and if it keeps crashing, I'll go back to 280.26.

Regards, Patrick.

Have made the transition myelf yesterday on my main machine (with GTX 480), and not had such incidents (yet) but there's still time  :)  ... Something rings a bell with what you describe though, though I can't place it.  Did you use the 'clean install' advanced option ?

Yes, I used the Advanced -> Clean Install option. (I always do ever since NVidia introduced this option...)

I'd suggest if the crashes persist then, on the off chance they don't have all the kinks completely worked out with the Beta driver, indeed go back to a clean install of the last WHQL.

Sometimes, due to the way modern Windows caches drivers for quick boot, simply booting into safe mode then rebooting back into normal mode can clear out some gremlins.  It's weird, but works for a few specific issues I can name, that otherwise look like broken hardware/drivers.

Jason.

I also installed 285.38 yesterday on my GTX560 and have not seen any problems on my end.

Mine was a install over the old version though.

Cat 11.10 preview V2 released.

The 100% CPU load problem for multi-GPU systems is still there.

AMD seriously sucks!  >:(

IT looks like the drivers are almost just made for people playing the game RAGE.  No real quality improvements mentioned on the 11.10 driver readme.

No improvements also on 64 bit linux 11.9 driver. Seems to behave identical to 11.7 + 11.8 . Switched the two GPU host back to 11.6  >:(

Still waiting for any of my AP tasks to be validated using the 11.10v2 drivers all tasks reported on Oct. 10th were completed with the 11.10v2 drivers after clean Windows install so we'll see what happens with them :o

Edit: Just ran a quick AP Bench with 11.10v2 SDK2.5 & then 11.2 SDK2.4 results (attached) look fairly similar to me
Edit2: Previous ATI build was ran against CAL 1.4.1523 (can't remember what Cat version that is  :()
