Interesting, I just had a driver recovery, and three wu's errored out. I am not sure if they were on the same card, as I can't tell from the elapsed time. It looks like 2 from one card, and one from the other.

No other issues. Things have been running fine since the driver reset. I am not sure what happened, but all is OK.

Installed the new driver. Nothing to report. Chose the express install, it did it's thing with no problem. It didn't ask for a reboot after install but I did one anyway just for grins. Ran all night with no problems and is just chugging away doing it's thing. Hope SETI gets things going again. Still have a couple of days worth of work but not sure I can make it to Friday.

After constant random conflicts/stops with a GTX470 & 480, I removed, for now, the 470. Maybe PSU issue or Mobo related. (Chipset=X38)
(Driver related?) 258.96? Works OK now, 480 is doing 2 at a time. No stops.

Probably not driver related. Could have been a bit too much for your PSU or it could have been heat related. Maybe the next step would be to try the 470 by itself to see if it is okay. If it is, then put the 480 back in and closely monitor the temps you are getting. If the temps stay in a good range but the conflicts start back up it is probably the PSU not quite up to snuff.

You didn't mention if it was just one or both units that were giving you trouble. If it's just one of them try switching them around between the PCI slots. Could be one of them is bad or loose fitting.

Downloaded and installed the APP version yesterday - so far haven't seen a big improvement with the MB build - maybe a couple of % on my 5670
Uninterrupted times for a 0.44 AR task about 1hr 35 - down from around 1hr 40

Haven't been able to get any AP tasks for over a month now  :'(

Haven't tried it yet, just downloading it now, but first i've got to try Cat 10.9 (without my fix) and see if ATI computation works with Nvidia GPU fitted,
then I'll try Cat 10.10, but i've now run out of ATI work from Seti, and only have small amount of Cuda work left,

Could be possible of course, if app_info is incorrect or file missing/corrupt from project folder - all really depends on what errors the cuda tasks are giving
I'm running the x32f build and the 260.89 drivers so may be worth BANZAI56 upgrading the drivers and re-running the installer to double check everything is correct

With the project in such disarray, of late, I couldn't tell you exactly what the specific errors were at this point.  At one point I saw something about no output file, but that may have been before I uninstalled/reinstalled everything to try and troubleshoot it myself.

FWIW, the rig in question has Win2K Pro for an OS and I thought I had read where 257.21 was going to be one of the last to have support for that OS.?.

If the project issues happen to level off in the near future, I guess it couldn't hurt to try 0.36 as someone suggested.  Perhaps 0.37 doesn’t like the combination of the OS and the PCI 9500GT?

The underlying thing here is that it’s a case of  ‘if it isn’t broken, fix it until it is’.  :)
The rig had an ample quantity of ghosts, but no actual work during one of the early server outages.  A quick detach/reattach seemed like a great time to also update the client and the opti app.  It is looking like it might become just another reason to simply replace the rig…  :/

Possible that NV are no longer supporting Win2k Pro - they've only got Win2k3 x64 on their site now so a rollback to one of the earlier drivers would probably be the best bet.
Although if it means that you can get a new rig out of this then it's not all bad ;D

There's a discussion at GPUGrid (http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=2318) suggesting, at least anecdotally, that some GPUs have been observed to clock-down to a power-saving mode with the 260.89 drivers. The 260.99 release may be a bug-fix for that issue - or it may just have been a mistake (it was unusual that the WHQL release had the same version number as the preceding Beta version).

Haven't been able to invest much time here lately while growing stuff. Now winter's approaching.............

I got latest Nvidia driver 260.99.
See there is a new CUDA toolkit 3.2 RC. Notes here say still RC while NV ensures there's no problems.
I need to  install both then use latest version unified installer 0.37 -- correct?

I use GTX275 and GT8500 in one PC, 9800GTX in another.

Any 256+  series driver installed ( 260.99 seems good ) will be enough for 0.37 .  Cuda 3.2 builds won't be released until sometime after nVidia relase one witnout the RC tag, and some worthwhile imrovements can be added.
