Boinc on Adroid and T-Mobile G1

I have talked with an Israeli Guy from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology about his Boincoid Projekt.

He is still runing on this Projekt, but he said is very hard to work on it.

Perhaps the project is not known so much and some have enough interest to support him.

I would love it to run seti or other projekts on a T-Mobile G1 device.

Here some Links from Boincoid

http://boincoid.sourceforge.net/

and here from Source Code
http://sourceforge.net/projects/boincoid/

Please help to make this Projekt more publik so that we all can crunch from our mobile phone.   ;D

Hm... It's pretty big task - to port ALL to Java. If they port only BOINC - it will be not enough to run anything. Each project should be ported too....

They actually ported SETI as well, but apparently haven't progressed much lately since they still call it pre-alpha. And IIRC they had sort of split into pure Java and Android variants.

It is an interesting branch, but of course only practical while a phone is on the charger, and even then I'd be concerned about heat since continuous computation is outside the intended purpose.
