Looks as if not only posts are vanishing, but also the text of private messages does disappear. A big hooray to the "BACK"-button of my firefox-browser.  >:(

Forum software update ongoing : lets see if posting works or posts will still be vanishing.

edit: first try worked ok.

Yes, hopefully the vanishing post problem has... VANISHED! Pretty sure it was some misconfiguration between PHP Mysql because of the old version of the forum software. Since everything is running new versions now it should be cleared up!

found another issue.
when clicking on thread with unread posts it unwind to last post, not to the first unread one. such behavior leads to missing info in actively using threads n:(

That is a problem with SMF itself, I have never found a solution.
