newsletter ... mail list
« on: 23 May 2007, 10:43:03 pm »
I know there's so much crap that reaches our email inboxes as it is, so forgive the suggestion.  I would, however, be interested in rec'g updates via email when a new client is released.

any interest/plan in starting a mailing list?

That would be pretty simple to do, but it'd have to be opt-in.

Depending on whether enough people want this feature, I'll get it set up. So if you want this feature, folks, just reply here ;)

Regards,
Simon.

I don't imagine you'll see many ppl indicating an interest here... why?  because they are probably active here in forums...   the stats there to the right indicate there are 460 members of the forum -- yet *thousands* of downloads...  perhaps an opt-in radio button on download page would afford a way to reach those ppl NOT active in the forums.

thanks for consideration   :D

Hmmm, isn't it as easy as creating and consequently filling one notification thread (or more - Win, Lin, Mac, Xxxx, and a common one, like the Release History) for new optimized app versions, like it is on Seti boards, and let people set "Notify me of replies"?

Good plan, Pepo - should actually work.

I'll look into it.

Simon.
