I have a Woodcrest server, and here is what I got for an error with Initial Public release SSE3-C2 server.It seems to fault on each workunit. The baseline OS is FC5.[setiathome.berkeley.edu]# ./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2*** glibc detected *** ./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2: free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x08275000 ***======= Backtrace: =========/lib/libc.so.6[0x164f18]/lib/libc.so.6(__libc_free+0x79)[0x16841d]./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2[0x80d1c9d]./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2[0x80937cb]./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2[0x80923cb]./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2[0x81250b6]/lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xdc)[0x1167e4]./KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2[0x804c2c1]======= Memory map: ========00101000-0022d000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267409 /lib/libc-2.4.so0022d000-00230000 r--p 0012b000 fd:00 7267409 /lib/libc-2.4.so00230000-00231000 rw-p 0012e000 fd:00 7267409 /lib/libc-2.4.so00231000-00234000 rw-p 00231000 00:00 0004a9000-004c2000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267949 /lib/ld-2.4.so004c2000-004c3000 r--p 00018000 fd:00 7267949 /lib/ld-2.4.so004c3000-004c4000 rw-p 00019000 fd:00 7267949 /lib/ld-2.4.so00d36000-00d38000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267420 /lib/libdl-2.4.so00d38000-00d39000 r--p 00001000 fd:00 7267420 /lib/libdl-2.4.so00d39000-00d3a000 rw-p 00002000 fd:00 7267420 /lib/libdl-2.4.so00d3c000-00d5f000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267440 /lib/libm-2.4.so00d5f000-00d60000 r--p 00022000 fd:00 7267440 /lib/libm-2.4.so00d60000-00d61000 rw-p 00023000 fd:00 7267440 /lib/libm-2.4.so00d63000-00d6e000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267424 /lib/libgcc_s-4.1.0-20060304.so.100d6e000-00d6f000 rw-p 0000a000 fd:00 7267424 /lib/libgcc_s-4.1.0-20060304.so.100d71000-00d81000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 7267422 /lib/libpthread-2.4.so00d81000-00d82000 r--p 0000f000 fd:00 7267422 /lib/libpthread-2.4.so00d82000-00d83000 rw-p 00010000 fd:00 7267422 /lib/libpthread-2.4.so00d83000-00d85000 rw-p 00d83000 00:00 008048000-08201000 r-xp 00000000 fd:00 12570738 /var/tmp/boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C208201000-0820b000 rw-p 001b8000 fd:00 12570738 /var/tmp/boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C20820b000-084ba000 rw-p 0820b000 00:00 0 [heap]f3694000-f3715000 rw-p f3694000 00:00 0f3715000-f3716000 ---p f3715000 00:00 0f3716000-f390e000 rwxp f3716000 00:00 0f390e000-f390f000 ---p f390e000 00:00 0f390f000-f391f000 rwxp f390f000 00:00 0f5300000-f5321000 rw-p f5300000 00:00 0f5321000-f5400000 ---p f5321000 00:00 0f546a000-f7523000 rw-p f546a000 00:00 0f7523000-f7524000 ---p f7523000 00:00 0f7524000-f7f24000 rwxp f7524000 00:00 0f7f24000-f7f26000 rw-p f7f24000 00:00 0f7f3a000-f7f3c000 rw-p f7f3a000 00:00 0fffee000-ffffe000 rwxp fffee000 00:00 0 [stack]ffffe000-fffff000 r-xp ffffe000 00:00 0Aborted[setiathome.berkeley.edu]# ldd KWSN-R2.2B-SSE3-C2 (0xffffe000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x00d36000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x00d3c000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00d71000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00101000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x004a9000)

What kernel are you running on slack 9.1? I suspect an OS which provides glibc-2.3.2 can't even properly take advantage of C2D CPUs.
