We got a good trace, and it's close to Berk.
This is not going to be funny if it turns out to be on campus.
Really bad news then....

It may not be so sinister after all, the Crickets may have drowned at the same time my service did.

As of 12 Jul 2014, 2:40:06 UTC the server status page shows the BOINC master database disabled, other servers running. A few minutes before that I had uploads go through but a work request didn't; that seems to match.

As of 12 Jul 2014, 2:50:08 UTC a lot of other stuff is "not running", which I optimistically interpret as meaning someone is actively trying to clear the problem.

Hmmmm...
Looks like much of Berkeley has gone dark again.  Can't get the Seti servers or the Cricket graphs.  IST reachable, but not showing anything yet.

EDIT...
Must have been some ATT midwest problem.  Slowly clearing up.  Not on my end, I rebooted to be sure, and changed IP addy on my modem.  I could reach Lunatics, but not a lot of other things as well as Seti.
I can reach the Cricket graphs now, and they show no interruption at Seti.
Some kind of localized outage.
Meow.
