Title: Video Card Ratings
Post by: TouchuvGrey on 08 Feb 2014, 05:24:19 pm
i see here  http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/gpu_list.php
that the GTX 470 is the 2nd fastest card right after
the GTX 780. Both way above my 560ti and 460.

Is there somethong about the arcitecture of the 480
that makes it especially good for GPU crunching ?

Would i crunch more by swapping out my cards
for 470's ?

i note here: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+470&id=55
much different ratings.

That particular list only shows GPU's that are running the stock apps, those of us running optimized apps are ignored.

Evenso dont forget that high end GPU`s like Titan, 780Ti, R9 290x and 7970 show there real performance only running 3 and more instances.
