Title: Anybody else's Seti Boincstats go blank???

Just checked today's Boincstats update, and all my Seti info is blanked......
No history, no graphs.
WTF?

Anybody else? Or just me?

Meowgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Mine are saying
17,858,319.63
Comprising 0.00 from the daily update
+ 17,858,319.63 since then
so it looks as if they are on the way back - though lots of blanks in the meantime. I think it sometimes happens if you peek in the middle of an update - give Willy an hour or two, and it should be OK.

That's all I have too, is the grand total.
Although I have checked my stats page many times during the update, I have never seen this happen.
Hopefully it will be set right when I get back from work tonight.

And it only seems to have happened to my Seti stats.
Just checked MW and PG, they are both OK.

Hope there wasn't something wonky in the Seti stats dump that caused it.

Yikes.......
Not a good day for the ol' kittyman on his birthday.......54 now.

Not only did Boincstats go boink, but Seti crashed as well.........
Boincstats is still fritzed.

54 ?  :o  .. .Sheesh, and I felt old turning 37 not so long ago.   The Blue rinse crew around here tell me the trick is not to get caught drink driving your go-fer buggy  :P

Going back to the original topic - my BOINCstats SETI history display is still f****d up. Nobody at BOINCstats seems to have noticed a problem, or to be talking about it on the forums, at least. I've been using the stats for years, but never bothered with a posting account: I've signed up now, but they require a cooling-off period before they allow me to post - and they don't say how long that is.

Anybody here got an active, postable BOINCstats account they could use to alert Willy via the forum? You can use http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=sah&id=5509 to see and demonstrate the problem.

Edit - OK, I found it would allow me to send Willy a PM. That should do the trick.

Like you, I have come to rely on Boincstats, but never set up an account to play in the chatbox.
I was surprised to see little comment on the situation there.
Find it hard to believe that the WIllymon would not have been aware by now.

Hope it is recoverable.

It's not a global problem - my stats look perfectly fine.
see e.g. http://boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=sah&st=0&or=&co=International only part of the stats updated correctly.

maybe the seti database went down in the middle of the update?

They are not fine........
Have another look.  All of the credit per day and such stats are showing zero.
Only the grand totals are shown.
And Seti's status during a Boincstats update is irrelevant.  They update from the daily stats dump, which is downloaded hours before.

Unless, as I questioned earlier, something was wrong with that stats dump when it was generated by Seti.

Hmmmm. That's interesting. If it's only the top 41 out of 107713 international users, and presumably in proportion for other/all countries as well, it might explain why there isn't a public debate about it - and why both Mark and I are affected.

I doubt it's to do with the SETI server breakdown - the bits which come directly from the export file (name, ID, total, and RAC) seem intact - the historical stuff isn't dumped by the project, but must be archived in some way by Willy for daily comparisons/trends. Seems more likely to be a coincidental BOINCstats server/DB problem. Globally, it seems to be (exactly) the top 4,000 who are affected - normal service resumes at http://boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=sah&st=4000&or=&hosts=0&ti=0&co=&date=

I'll let everyone know when/if I get a reply from Willy.

I doubt it'll be the dump file, because IIRC from last time I actually analysed one, it comes out in ID order - which is what you would expect for a primary-keyed database table. Even my 5509 would be outside the first 4,000, and Mark's 421968 would be a long way into the file. The top 4,000 will be scattered all over the place.

My money's still on an independent problem.

Just noticed something else odd....maybe coincidental, maybe caused by the snafu.....
In my sig banner on my Seti forum posts, my total credits and BS RAC are exactly equal.
And running into each other.

Boincstats still broken.

Apparently Richard has not had a response from Willy yet.

Seti is still down for the count until at least tomorrow morning.
