Title: astropulse 5.06 question.

is there any benefit as far as getting extra credits are concerned when running 5.06 compared to 5.05?

Only if 5.06 on Linux ran faster than 5.05 on Windows on your host. IOW, they'll each claim the same credit and the credit rate is strictly determined by crunch time.
