What is this file for and is it even called on AMD64 systems?

amd64fft8g.cpp

I can't see that the code in anyway links to that file..

Who has a idea??

It's part of the Ooura fft coded in SSE, a contribution from a couple of years ago. I think Eric has preserved it in case someone finds it useful.

Quite right Joe...also it uses some SSE2 opcodes but nothing AMD specific...perhaps Evandro optimized the sequence of opcodes for speed on AMD vs Intel.
