Title: My Apologies....
Post by: korpela on 17 Dec 2008, 12:49:16 pm

Hi Guys,

I wanted to apologized for not telling you about the SETI@home CUDA app development.  NVIDIA wanted to keep it under wraps until the press release.

The source is currently in the SETI@home svn repository at https://setisvn.ssl.berkeley.edu/svn/branches/seti_cuda/.  It'll eventually be merged with the main tree.  If anyone wants to convert this to OpenCL or BrookGPU, feel free.

Hope  this will help your Astropulse efforts.

And Joe, thanks for reminding me about getting you those result comparisons.  I'll do it today.

Eric

In the CUDA AUTHORS file, I see

CUDA development by:
Przemyslaw Zych (NVIDIA)
Scott Le Grand (NVIDIA)
Bob Johnston (NVIDIA)

but without any contact details. Does anyone think any of these three could be persuaded to help here, now that the non-disclosure embargo (http://lunatics.kwsn.net/5-windows/berkeley-svn-browse-password.msg11538.html#msg11538) has been lifted?

Przemyslaw Zych was a student intern who is now back in Poland.  He did most of the work.  I'll see if NVIDIA will let me know how to contact him.

Bob Johnston has done most of the work since then.  I'll see if he's willing to take emails from the outside.
