Title: Mixing Nvidia GPUs? Boinc says card "not used"
Post by: codeman05 on 17 Mar 2010, 12:25:13 am
Hey guys, I have a GTx295 crunching away happily.
I also have a spate GT240 lying around that I wanted to put with it so that it's not just collecting dust.

BOINC (6.10.18) sees all 3 GPUs just fine. However, next to the GT240 it shows "(not used)"...and it is not running any WUs.

Is it possible to mix GPUs in the same rig? And if so, any thoughts on how I can get this running?
I am currently running the Unified installer with the 2.3 CUDA DLLS

you need to make a cc_config.xml file with this line in it

Code: [Select]
<cc_config>
    <options>
        <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
    </options>
</cc_config>

When did this change? I just now noticed that my 9600 was taking the load itself, leaving the 8600 cold... which may be a good thing because that guy runs pretty warm as it is...
