Title: Download an optimized version
Post by: DeMus on 23 Jan 2009, 12:53:36 pm
When I click the Download link in the left column of the screen I get a page where I can find several packages. I choose the one for my computer and I get a new page with one line stating the name of the application I want to download. I can click on the name but it brings me back to the same page. I study the link carefully and yes, it is the address of the page I visit already.
Question: How to download from here?

Question: How to download from here?

Click where it says [Mirror 1] next to "Download File".

Click on the [Mirror1] link against the heading 'Download file'.

Drat, your beer's working again. ;D

I must be blind! I just don't see it. On which page should I choose [Mirror1]?

Downloads --> choose a section --> choose a filename.

You should end up somewhere like http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads;sa=dlview;id=119

If it's not working for you, please let us know which application you're trying to download - it may have been set up wrongly.

He is probably trying to download older/non-windows apps. They are listed in downloads page, but when you select them, they lead nowhere.

The version I try to download is:  64-Bit Linux X64 Rev-2.4 without graphics
I only see the line with that name and when I click it I return to the same page. The lines below it, which I saw in one of the examples in this thread, are not shown on my page at all.
Is this an older version? If so, what is the latest version for 64 bit Ubuntu Linux, with (or without AP and/or Cuda)?

Thanks for all your help

This version is old. you can try the newer, faster AK v8. You can find them all here http://calbe.dw70.de/linux64.html

Thank you, but this version is running already for some time. I was hoping there would be something newer by now.
Ok, thanks guys.

I believe you may have unknowingly walked into a demolition area.  Don't be surprised if you get attacked by a weird lizard man wielding a broom.

There is a CUDA (GPU) based one for linux if your card is capable. Go to http://lunatics.kwsn.net/linux/seti-mb-cuda-for-linux.msg13143.html .

lol @ Jason

Hey...who's walking across my freshly cleaned rooms trying to shove old boxes in them again?  :P
Yes, the older app versions/generations have been archived to free-up space for future ones.

I do have my page up with combined packages for MB and AP (http://www.arkayn.us/seti/) Windows 32 & 64, Mac OS X and Linux 32 & 64.
