Title: Thunderstorm in summer
Post by: Urs Echternacht on 05 Jul 2012, 06:03:14 pm
Some pictures made right before a thunderstorm reached my place. Check out especially the faint secondary flash on top of the cloud in the picture, where the flash reaches the ground. First i thought its a reflex, but then looking at the other picture with the cloud to cloud flash there is no such "reflex" visible.

We are entering Monsoon season here, in bad years we can have thunderstorms for several weeks in a row.

Interesting how "facts" are presented on that page. Luckily we had no tornados yesterday, just some heavier gusts.

Have got some more flashes on picture yesterday. That thunderstorm was over very fast. After an hour it was gone to the NE.
