ATI 10.8 drivers
perryjay:
That's great to hear Claggy but I figured better safe than sorry.
Ghost0210:
Always better safe than sorry :D
Had to check and make sure that Collatz worked with the new drivers after I read your post, as haven't had any since I installed the new drivers. Need something to keep that card warm when the AP tasks run out ;D
KarVi:
10.8 also works fine here with AP, Collatz and DnetC, which is all I have tried.
I don't think they are the source of the problems.

OP posted at Milkyway
--- Quote ---Figured out the root of the problem... had 2 system changes and blamed the usual suspect when it was another. It is not the Catalyst update, but is dealing with monitor setup.
Situation where GPU Units function: Dual 5970 in non-crossfire or crossfire mode when 2 monitors are hooked up to one graphics card.
Situation where GPU Units do NOT Function: Dual 5970 in non-crossfire with 3 monitors hooked up. 2 on the 1st card and 1 on the second.
(crossfire does not work when using 2 cards and the 3 dvi connections for 3 monitors (card 1 x 2dvi, card 2 x 1 dvi hooked-up))
With a 2 monitor dvi setup on one card the WU work installing the 3rd monitor dvi on the second card dvi the work units do not progress.

For me, last Catalyst that work fine with Boinc (64-bit) is Catalyst 10.3. From 10.4 onwards, Boinc doesn't see the ATI HD5850 GPU, saying GPU missing... Seems like some issue between 64bit Catalyst drivers and Boinc x64. Nothing to do with Raistmers buids, affects also Collatz and Milkyway. So I am still on 10.3, until the problem is resolved...
Config is Win7 Home Premium 64-bit, ATI HD5850 and GTS250.
UPDATE: Problem seems to be in hybrid multigpu config (ATI and Nvidia together) and Catalyst CAL.
