Running a standard non optimized client new computer
has accumulated 15,465 credits in 4 days. i'm going to
stay with this setup for a week or so and see how it goes.
i will certainly run an optimized client soon, just interested in
documenting precisely how much improvement i get
from it.

AFAIK, you can let run 32bit software on 64bit OS.
I don't know what's included in the 64bit Lunatics Installer, but I guess the AP app is also there.
EDIT: If you installed opt. apps the CPU RAC will be the double. Also the performance of your GPU will increase because you will not calculate VLAR WUs (< 0.12x AR) which will make sluggish your PC.

RAC is imprecise by its nature. You could run offline benchmarks with stock and opt apps to see the difference.

You can normally run 32-bit apps on a 64-bit OS. What you can't do is run a 64-bit app on a 32-bit OS.

If i add a 2nd video card does it need to be the same as the 1st ?.
What percentage of the number crunching comes from the GPU
as opposed to from the CPU ?
What sort of gain could i expect from adding a 2nd video card ?
Just downloaded and installed Multibeam optimized app for
64 bit SSE 4.1
