There are a number of fixes like "[GeForce 500 series][Mirrorʹs Edge]:”Driver not responding” error occurs when playing the game with SLI enabled.", but nothing specific to our 'crashes when DVI monitor is put to sleep'. It would be good if somebody who experienced that could test, but proceed at caution.

BTW, is the monitor sleep problem particularly prevalent on GeForce 500 series?

Edit: WARNING - a test report indicates that the monitor sleep bug is still present. Don't upgrade unless you know you're immune, or prepared to take precautions as before.

MarkJ:
Just looked an Einstein user who is complaining about being throttled. It seems he is running 296.10 and all his cuda tasks have failed, so they haven't fixed it.

Richard Haselgrove:
I've had email confirmation this morning that NVidia have acknowledged the re-reported bug in 296.10 and are working on it.

More news from Einstein:

--- Quote from: Oliver Bock ---Update: this bug is considered as release critical (show-stopper) for the next NVIDIA driver release that's due in 2-4 weeks. Thus a fix will be available by that time.

Pizzadude:
You have got to wonder why this was not picked up at Beta stage !!!
