Just a warning in advance so that the Lunatics don't go completely insane, I just picked up a news item that says Google are to release their own OS, Chrome OS.
Just know that a few of the great unwashed are going to ask for Chome OS apps sooner or later.

Depends on what kernel they plan on using and whether they will use the standard app install procedures.

Do current versions for Linux use any abilities that go beside POSIX ?
(think not cause stock app ported on many *nix based platforms already).
