The science; what can we find?

So, other than ET radio, what other science can the seti project possibly accomplish?  Like does it have the potential to find crazy new star stuff too?

(Got the modified app crunching it's first AP unit on a P3 450...i'm guessing 400 hours...lol)
the other four machines run 3 to 4 times faster than stock crunching APs.  amazing.  cudo's to the coders.

Sure does, the New SETI Sky Surveys for Radio Pulses PDF from the Berkeley team mentions several. It's likely the actual source of found signals may not be understood, but provide data points for further development of theory.
