the terminology it uses is correct - Seti@Home does it the same way. No two results usually are exactly identical. That's one of the functions of the quorum - to compare results returned and figure out whether they're sufficiently similar (strongly similar), weakly similar or not similar at all (invalid).
Also, the test scripts use a program by Tetsuji Maverick Rai called "rescmp" that does the result comparison. It also uses the terminology explained above.
