Problem installing APP

(1/1)

nevica:
Hello,

I am trying to install the new application of Alex Kan:

Linux 64 bit AK v8.0 SSE3 (AMD/INTEL)

I am having trouble reading the app_info.xml file and I get the error message:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: file:///home/gandolfo/.fr-9Q8eHu/AK_V8_SSE3_LX32/Files%20to%20Install/app_info.xml
Line Number 17, Column 11:<app_info>
----------^

I `m also not seeing any significant performance improvement.

BOINC says that is has found the anonymous platform so seems to be running the new-app.

Any ideas,

Nevica

regards,

Nevica

Please try to exchange the last line of that app_info.xml file with this one :

</app_info>

The missing 'slash' causes the error message. No panic, it is only a typo.

Additional you should try the  SSSE3 Linux64  application, that should work faster on your processor.
