I have installed BOINC but everytime VISTA boots up it tells me that a startup icon has been blocked from starting.. I have allowed and said I trust it.. But the same happens at the next boot..

Try to run as service, my working fine

The problem wasn't windows defender, as this was off already
control panel > User Accounts > Turn User account Control on or Off
