Its time to upgrade......maybe !!!
arkayn:
I'm waiting for the GTX-660.
MarkJ:
I replaced a couple of factory OC'ed GTX570's with a couple of factory OC'ed GTX670's. Use less electricity and produce less heat and they are faster, well running GPUgrid they are.
I have other machines with GTX560Ti's that I am waiting on an equivalent in the GTX600 family for. Not so much for performance but rather to reduce electricity use. Electricity prices have been going through the roof. This month they jumped 18% being mostly blamed on the carbon tax, but in reality the energy providers all adjusted their "service fee" and other changes.

As i read it, the GTX 480 is superior to at least some of the
500 and 600 series. i'm not sure how applicable that forums
results are to GPU number crunching of the sort we do though.
Running a GTX460 and a GTX560ti here. If i had a spare
$1000.00 USD i'd probably get a pair of GTX670's

I can say that although my rig is down at the moment, 480's can really deliver, but it takes a lot of power to do it. My twin 480 rig gets anywhere between 83k, and 86k RAC. My rig needs a complete Windows re-install, but the hardware is sound.
