GTX460 settings ?

From this i can see you're got an i7 920 @2.67GHz, you're running the Win64 v8b2-SSE3 MB CPU app, and the x41g Cuda32 app, and Boinc 7.0.8 and have the 295.51 drivers,

you're got 'Suspend work while computer is in use?' set to No, and you're suspending tasks when you're active,
a lot of you're CPU tasks are suspended four times during their run, and loose up to 4 minutes time when they revert back the the last checkpoint,
another thing really strange thing you're doing is rescheduling CPU Wu's to the GPU's, but you're rescheduling the VLARs to the GPU too, Why?

So things to do before you even think about overclocking your GPU's,

Update to Boinc 7.0.14 the latest Alpha release, why use a superceeded Alpha version that has various work fetch Bugs,

make sure you using the computing preference properly, they have swapped round for Boinc 7.0.x,

Maintain enough tasks to keep busy for 3 days
(max 10 days).

Maintain additional tasks to keep busy for up to 0.01 days

Set the above for a three day cache, that replenishes frequently, (Boinc 7 fetches work for to the Maximum, then waits until it gets to the minimum before fetching more, i think that's how it's supposed to work)

Enable 'Use Nvidia GPU' at Seti, and don't reschedule, (you won't be doing VLARs and your desktop shouldn't get laggy)

Enable 'Leave tasks in memory while suspended?'  (So you're not wasting time restarting from the last checkpoint)

Set 'Suspend work while computer is in use?' to no (you're not rescheduling VLARs to the GPU now, so there should be no noticeable effect that you're crunching)

Edit: and change your drivers to 290.53, 295.51 has a Bug where the Cuda device disappears when the Monitor goes to sleep (if connected to the DVI port), see this task of your's: resultid=2299727965

Thank you Claggy. As usual you have come through with
far more than i asked for. You came through with information
i did not even know to ask for.

    Doubtless i had set up preferences and the rescheduler thinking
i was doing something very slick. Very likely ( as i am all too often
guilty of ) i failed to read the instructions carefully and screwed myself.

  i have updated to 7.0.14, changfed preferences to 3 days and .01
days. Enabled GPU while computer in use. Turned off the rescheduler.
Leave tasks in memory, set to "yes", Suspend work while computer
is in use to "no" and rolled back drivers to 290.53.

     i eagerly await any other suggestions you are willing to
offer.
